Plantar Fasciitis – ENAR Therapy Protocols

A – First brush the spine really well from below the ribs right down to the coccyx and over the buttocks along the sacrum. If no one can do it for you lie first on your right side and starting from as high as you can go – even just below the ribs is OK, and brush along the length of the spine about 2cm to the left or right. Brush all the way down to the buttocks and then onto the buttocks. When you feel a tender spot or sticky spot use the ENAR to brush deeply here. Then roll over to the left side and repeat brushing the right side of the spine and again clearing any tender or sticky spots.  Finally, do the centre of the spine.  Really pay attention from the waist down and even brush horizontally from the spine over the hips and buttocks if you find sore spots.

B – Then, brush the calves all the way to the heel. You could use a large Y-probe or mushrooms to really release any tension in the calves, ankles and soles of the foot.  Then place a pad on the middle of the calf where the gastrocnemius meets the soleus which is basically mid-calf.  Put the other pad on the stickiest spot on the Achilles .. (OR… either side of the Sacrum) and use FM plus AM on your ENAR.  Increase power and stretch, flex and rotate the foot.  When the foot feels better walk around with the pads or pad/sock combination on while increasing the power.  Do this for 10 or 15 minutes.

C – Then brush into the plantar area, Point Of Pain, using FM with the ENAR.
